Female Update

Have been working on the female for a good part of the day. Just wanted to post what I have been working on. I have been going all over the place. Right now for her gunslinger clothes, she does have the basic long coat and some of a shirt. For her model, I did add eyes, ears and hair. She might end up have two set of hair for each of her clothes. For the gunslinger/default, she is going to be more 'rough' looking style... which means she is going to have a pony-tail. I will most likely starting this back up again, when I get back home tonight from work.

These are going to be day milestones, by the end of each day I should have complete all that is needed to be and some. If the days seem to be out of whack, I am also going to be working on another 3d model at the same time, but on a different day.

Female Update

Sorry that I haven't posted anything in awhile. But I have been working on smoothing out the female face and the hands. I might have to redo the hands, because they are not turning out how I want them to be. Soon I should be finishing up the smoothing out the body sometime by Thursday and start working on getting her some clothes. I'll be posting some pictures by the end of class today of her. Just for fun.... I need to think of some names for both the male and female.

Female Model

Since the female is just about box out. I need to finish smoothing out the body, hands, and legs. Along with making a head. I am trying to find out a way to model they head. There are a few ways into making a head. You can make it from a single plane and just add more but that adds polys. The other you can make it is from a box. Which I might do, I used the box method to shape out the head.

So that is my rant for now.

Model Notes

Just pointing out for the models that the are both different in modeling types. Male model is more of a npc type and a lot of his details are going to be texture on, like his hair is going to be. As for the female, she is the primary character and alot of detail into the character its self.

Male Model - Update 2

Forgot a few things in the last post, he will have eyes and hair. To me, he seems to be more of an older gentlemen, so I am basing his hair off of my grandpa's hair. My grandpa's hair very light, in which he has it in a comb over that goes to the right to hide his receding hairline.

As for the milestone for the hair and eyes, should be done soon. Eyes are very easy to do, even though I have done them yet, they are very basic. So I should have the eyes done by the end of the day. As for the hair, I'm still debating if I should model it on, use a plane or texture them on. The milestone for the hair, I don't know when exactly I should have time it done. But most likely it should be done when I hit my milestone for textures. I wish I could make a pinpoint date but I can't until I decide when to do with the hair.

Male Model - Update

As of now for the project and my milestones.... The male is about 90 to 95% done. All I have left for him is to clean up his head, hands, and anything else that needs to be cleaned up. Next I'll have to fix and clean his ear out. Along with adding some personality features, like a mustache and/or a gut and adding a ruffle arm banded. But all in all, he is looking pretty good.

As for milestones, I feel that he is a little bit behind but not to worry. I feel that since I have a lot of the work done on the female, when I was having trouble with his file, I might have some more free time to polish him off.

Male Model - Update

My head is killing me D:

I am a little behind in my milestone. By the end of today I should have been down with his clothes but I have be stuck on his head. Been trying to get it more smooth and less triangle-ish and somewhat forgot about the clothes. His clothes hasn't been too difficult to do and its going pretty good. At the moment he seems to be more of a jockey than a saloon keeper XD. Back to complaing about his head. His face sturcute seems seems to be more of a older person than a young mid-age man. Anyways, here is what I have been up too.

Male Model - Update

Over the 4th weekend I was able to get the male model to work :D.
So I was able to get a head onto him. The head is still a work in progress, still very boxy but I have the basic shape. He hands still seem weird but I think it is because of how he was model I have his arms back a little bit.

But the best part of this update is that I was able to clothes on him!!! He is currently wearing a vest and pants.

Male Model - Update

Mostly work on the hand of the male model in class today. Haven't really work on the clothes since I wasn't able to get the his file to work at home. But a friend was able to help me out on it. So this weekend, along with other projects and homework, I will be working on.

The hand is a little too small for the male, antaomy wise, I'll fix it when I get the chance.



Hopefully I get back on track with my milestone system, and start working on getting some clothes on him. XD

Female Model - Update

I think my male model hates me. D:
For some reason, when I exported him to an .obj file he got turned inside out. I don't know if I exported him wrong or what but I have to fix it sometime tomorrow when I get to school.

So ......... I work on the female model today. She has arms and hands now. I am still working on the anatomy of both hands and arms. If they seem wired don't worry I'm currently fixing it. Both models just passed the 1k poly mark they are around 1,100 poly (~2,000 tri's).
